Sherri AgnewCurrently working towards Masters Degree in Urban Design at Ball State University’s College of Architecture & Planning (Indianapolis Center) In 2008, I completed my undergraduate degree in Architecture from Ball State University. During my undergraduate studies, I completed two architectural internships in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. Through experiences during my internships, my undergraduate studies and living in an entirely different city (Dallas, Texas) for eight months, I discovered Urban Design is really where my passions lie. While I’m continually discovering new aspects in the Urban Design field, I am currently interested in Adaptive Reuse, the Social and Economic Influences of places, Placemaking studies, Feasibility studies, and Sustainability. As well as continuing studies in these topics, I would like to learn more about the psychological influences of places, water management and effective transportation systems. I currently live in one of the most walkable neighborhood communities in Indiana, Broad Ripple, which is home to an energetic artistic community, an active nightlife and many locally owned shops and restaurants. I currently work as a Graduate Assistant with the Ball State College of Architecture & Planning Indianapolis Center Director. I love places with character and a story.

With growing populations, cities have begun to expand and converge creating multi-city cities called conurbations. With the growth and convergence of cities there will be an ever-increasing need for cities to maintain their cultural identity in order [...]
