As part of a redevelopment process for the area south of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, CAP:IC students worked with the Speedway Redevelopment Commission and consultants American Structurepoint to explore reuse scenarios. The design workshop developed three alternative scenarios focused on building on the race experience to provide visitors with a unique experience, residents with year-long amenities, and the community with improved tax base. The ideas emphasized multi-modal connectivity, sustainable design, and mixed-use development.
