Building off ideas developed in the West Indianapolis Quality of Life Plan, CAP:IC worked with the West Indianapolis Development Corporation on the feasibility of streetscape enhancements along Morris Street. Today a four lane street with a mix of housing, institutional, commercial, and industrial uses, the plan proposes creating a mixed-use village core along it. CAP:IC graduate student Evan Winkler worked with key stakeholders, including the Department of Public Works, Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, IndyGo, and Indianapolis Power and Light to demonstrate alternative streetscape scenarios that worked in the available right-of-way.
